Julia's Story

I had first been notified of my nine year, old daughter Julia's hearing problem when she failed the school's hearing test. So we took her to her doctor who said she had fluid in her ears and suggested we "dry her out" by using Claritin and nasal steroid spray for a month, and then take a hearing test. We did this and took the hearing test and were told that her hearing was still slightly impaired in both ears, and that she still had fluid in her ears. We went back and forth between the doctor and the hearing clinic for a year with no better results. Our doctor finally said we needed to see on Ear/Nose/Throat doctor, and she said he would probably put tubes in and take her adenoids out.

Being too familiar myself with Ear/Nose/Throat doctors growing up. I wanted to explore other options before doing surgery. First, we went to on Acupuncturist friend who "warmed" (no needles involved) certain "points" on Julia’s body to get her energy moving, and also said that allergies may be causing Julia’s ear fluid and to try to cut out certain things like dairy to see if it would help. This was hard since Julia LOVES her milk, but we tried it for a while with no results.

In the meantime I had seen my mother’s miraculous improvement by going to Drs. Nick & Christie (her back & shoulder no longer bothered her and her lifelong sinus problems seemed to disappear). They were having‘Patient Appreciation Day ’ with free checkups: so I took Julia in, thinking if this didn't work, she'd probably have to have surgery.

Julia was misaligned and started seeing them.  She loved her visits (first time I've ever heard of a kid liking to go to a doctor!), and when her regular visits were almost over, we finally took her in to the Ear/Nose/Throat doctor to find out how her ears were. He told us they were totally healthy & she passed her hearing test no problem! We are SO SO happy!!!

Now that Julia is done with her treatments (except to check her every so often), I decided it was time to make my health a priority, so I started going and am already seeing positive results that were unexpected. I would definitely highly recommend them, and hope to eventually have my husband and other daughter get checked.
