Common Questions and Answers
Q: Can NUCCA care help me with my health issues?
A: Because the NUCCA procedure affects the brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves, hundreds of problems have been helped with NUCCA such as; asthma/allergies, headaches/migraines, neck and back pain, numbness/tingling, sleep problems and fatigue just to name a few. There is no charge to consult with the doctor about your health problem.
Q: How do I know if I need care?
A: The physical stresses of daily life (driving, walking, work, etc) combined with bumps, falls, injuries, sports and difficult births can cause subtle but significant changes in the position of the spine which affects the brain, spinal cord, and nerves resulting in various health conditions. There are objective measurements taken during the exam to determine if the position of your spine is affecting your nervous system. If your spine is misaligned and left uncorrected over time it will continue to degenerate (breakdown) and more problems will arise as the stress on your nervous system increases and progresses. If your spine is misaligned it will never be cheaper or easier to fix than it is right now.
Q: Why haven’t I heard of NUCCA before?
A: Even though NUCCA was established in 1966, less than 300 doctors in the United States and Canada utilize the procedure. In our opinion, NUCCA is the most advanced form of spinal care available. It is also the most challenging to learn and to master, which is why so few doctors practice in this way. NUCCA spreads primarily through word of mouth referrals, so thank the person who referred you to our clinic.
Q: How are your fees charged?
A:
The total for the first visit is $400, of which you are given
the option of paying the full amount upfront or you can just
pay $50.
On your second visit, after the Doctor has reviewed your case,
he will give you a total estimate of cost and the time it will
take to get your spine stable. Any balance from the first
visit will be added into the total cost of your care which can
be paid for in weekly or bi-weekly payments.
*A typical plan of care lasts 6 months. If you choose pay
the $400 upfront, payments average $66 a week or $132 bi-weekly. If
you choose to just pay $50 at your first appointment, the payments
average $82 a week or $164 bi-weekly (from the first visit).
Q: Does insurance cover care?
A: Redmond Spinal Care is an independent clinic. Therefore, patients pay the clinic for the services and they get reimbursed directly from the insurance company according to their personal policy. The majority of our patients get reimbursed for the care we provide. To find out what your plan will reimburse you call the 800 number on the back of your card and ask what your policy reimburses for out of network chiropractic services. In addition, we offer payment plans on a case by case basis.
